The Cambridge Building Society has joined the SimplyBiz Mortgages lender panel.

Kathy Bowes - The Cambridge

The mortgage club says its members can access the mutual’s residential and buy-to-let home loan range for properties throughout England and Wales with immediate effect.

The club has over 4,000 brokers and provides regulatory and business support to directly authorised advisers.

The Cambridge, founded in 1850, is the UK’s 13th largest building society.

The Cambridge intermediary manager Kathy Bowes says the move “will provide even more choice for advisers, especially for those looking for solutions for trickier cases that benefit from human made decisions and individual underwriting.”

SimplyBiz Mortgages head of lender relations Philip Daffern adds: “We have wanted to add The Cambridge to our panel for some time and as with any relationship, it’s a case of waiting until the time is right for both parties.

“That time has now arrived and as our markets and client scenarios reflect more complex situations which are challenging for all parties involved in the provision of home finance.

“Advisers are looking for the support of lenders like The Cambridge to help provide positive lending solutions that take into account all aspects of a case making rounded lending decisions based on the individual.”
