Sesame Bankhall Group has appointed Paul Wilson as chief operating officer at the broker network.
Wilson will take up his new post on 3 July, subject to Financial Conduct Authority approval.
The industry veteran joins from Avia, where he was chief marketing officer. In a 30-year career, he has worked as director of consulting at Barclays Wealth, and divisional director of business development at St James’s Place.
Wilson replaces Richard Howells who left the business earlier this month to take up another role in the industry.
Sesame Bankhall Group John Cowan interim chief executive says: “With in-depth experience and expertise in strategy, transformation, marketing and distribution as well as building and leading teams that deliver growth, value and efficiency, he [Wilson] will be an excellent addition to our experienced leadership team.”
Wilson has served as a non-executive director on the Sesame Bankhall Group board for the last two years.
The business comprises over 10,000 advisers and runs a network, a regulatory support service and a mortgage club.
