Black & White Bridging plans to grow its pace of lending following a record two years of loans growth.

The specialist lender, which was founded ten years ago this month, says over the last two years it originated £40m over 80 loans, which makes up almost 50% of the total lending of the firm to date.

The business appointed Adam Tyler as director of intermediaries to lead the specialist lender’s new business development last month.

In May, it also hired David McCarthy as relationship manager, as the firm says it expects to “drive sales even further to continue from its embryonic start to become a disruptive mainstream lender”.

Black & White Bridging managing director Martyn Smith says: “Our ethos of finding a way to make deals work, not saying ‘no’ but saying ‘how,’ has helped us to achieve record levels of lending over the last few years.

“We are now in a strong position to generate more enquiries while still retaining the quality and speed of our service through our loyal network of intermediaries.

“We have always been truly transparent — we say what our maximum rate is and we say what we can and cannot do. No grey areas.”

Smith adds that the business “looks forward to increasing our lending levels” over the coming years.
